(16/12/08 - P) State government gives green light to development
Amendment VC50 to the Victoria Planning Provisions (VPP) and all planning schemes in Victoria was gazetted on Monday, 15 December 2008 (today). The amendment makes changes to provisions relating to residential aged care facilities, education centres, native vegetation, railway corridor signs and dry stone walls. The Explanatory Report gives details on the nature of the amendments. You can access the amendment and see what changes it makes by clicking Amendment VC50 Note: This is a State level amendment affecting all planning schemes in Victoria.
As a consequence, the Ministerial Direction on the Form and Content of Planning Schemes under Section 7(5) of the Act has been amended to be consistent with changes to the VPP introduced with VC50. The Direction has been amended to introduce a new schedule template to Clause 52.37. The schedule provides the ability to specify a planning permit requirement to demolish or alter a dry stone wall constructed before 1940.
