State Government Varies Interim Height Controls For Some Metro Councils

(2/4/09 - SG) Some extended, some deleted, some changed... It all needs a good checking out for those affected by these decisions

In a special government gazette of 31/3/09, the Minister for Planning has approved amendments to the planning schemes of 4 metro councils, as follows:

Boroondara C109: Extension of interim height controls for neighbourhood activity centres.

Darebin C117: Extension of interim height controls for Station Street, Fairfield and Miller on Gilbert, Preston and deletion of interim height controls from remaining neighbourhood activity centres.

Stonnington C95: Extension of interim height controls for the Waverley Road Neighbourhood Activity Centre.

Whitehorse C136: Extension of interim height controls for Mitcham and removal of interim height controls from remaining neighbourhood activity centres.

The amendments either extend, delete or change current interim height controls. These are the interim controls introduced by former Planning Minister, Mary Delahunty, and subsequently extended.
